E-Book on Logic.

Logic is important. In an E-Book format, write out 5 examples of good logic and 5 examples of bad logic. In each of these examples, have 3 or more statements of thought. Understanding Equations.

Chose one of the equations we used in class and study it. I will ask you questions about it and you will tell me the answers.

Over the weekend, go and sit down (or walk) alone. While you do this, look around  at the world you. See the trees, the sky and the buildings. Write down five questions that come to your mind when you do this.

Catching Insects.

We will catch insects using light and food in class. You will need to bring: 1.) one empty coke bottle and, 2.) sweet foods (like fruit). I will bring the rest.

Making a Stink Bomb.

In class we will make a stink bomb. We will be using some dangerous chemicals, so we must make sure to use safety gear. For this, you must write down and draw pictures, in your note books, showing what we did. Make sure that you draw pictures of the atoms and show how they make the stinky smell.

E-Book on Dinosaurs.

Chose one dinosaur and do research on it. Find out when it was alive, what kind of anatomy it had, how it protected itself, what it ate and how it hunted. After doing this, prepare power point slides to present on what you discovered. Write this project in your OWN words. Experiment on Cytology.

In a group of three, you will receive these tools: 1.) three Petridish’s, 2.) tape and 3.) three ear buds. A Petridish is used to grow cells. Using these tools we will grow bacteria and then using the microscopes look at the bacteria.

Using the ears buds, scrape the surface of any three (different) surfaces using one ear bud for one surface. For example: a shoe, the bathroom, my mouth, etc. Once the surface has been scraped – wipe it on the gel in the Petridish. Once this is done, seal it with the tape. After some time use the microscope to look at the bacteria.

At the end of this experiment, you must draw pictures of each step we took and memorizing seven parts of the microscope. You will have to show me all seven parts.

In class, we will be cutting open a fish and looking at its anatomy.

Do research about Bio-mimicry. Answer these questions: What is it? Why do we use it? Find five examples of Bio-mimicry. After doing this, you need to create your own idea.
